House idea's I love!

Today I was surfing the net and came across these great designs I would love to have in my future house. Enjoy!
I love the front porch this house, the color, the layout and all the windows.
I love large porches like this one. They are great to sit out on during the summer time.
Again, love the porch and it has lovely trimming on it. The big windows add a nice touch too.
This entryway is great, because you have places to store items on the shelves. It also has a seat built into.
The brick in this kitchen adds a nice rustic look to the house. I also like the tile on the wall at the oven.

This kitchen is different. The blue and white colors makes the room look clean and inviting. I like the old fashion look it has, and how everything has a place. The oven fits nicely into it's shelf, and the stainless steel brings a modern look to the kitchen.
I love this large white marble sink and black granite countertops. The large window at the sink brings a warm feeling to the kitchen.
This shows the light blue cabinets in the kitchen, and the stainless steel appliances.
This fireplace shows an example of how you can place candles nicely in fireplace. I also love the extra storage beside the fireplace too.
I like the layout of this living room, but I would change color. I really like the shelves on the side of the fireplace. My sister had a house in Memphis that had a layout like this.
The master bathroom is a nice light blue, with dark brown cabinets and white marble countertops. The lights in the bathroom bring out a lot of light into the room. The bathtub is in a nice place so that you can look outside, however I would make sure the glass had a button that would frost the glass when needed.
I have always loved 4 poster beds, and this dark wood is a wonderful example of how blue and brown go togetherl. The blue plates are nice touch, and the yellow adds a lovely accent to the room.
This back yard is very inviting. The fire pit, and the green cushions pick-up the natural colors outside. The gray flat stone patio is very relaxing too.

The Cupcake Party

Thursday night my friend Selam and I got 14 people together and had a fun cupcake party. Most of the people that showed up had never made cupcakes before. So this was a fun teaching and learning experience for everyone. Here are the pictures:
So we couldn't find a bowl to put the cupcake mix in at our friends house, so we used a cooking pot! LOL!
This is how we packed up the cupcakes, and moved them to my apartment.

First Entry!!

Hey everyone! Wow I can't believe that I am starting my own blog! Thanks to my sis (Jennifer), I have been pulled into this trend. What to say about myself?...Well I'm in my fourth year in college and, just like my sis, I LOVE to make crafts and bake CUPCAKES! This Thursday, March 4th 2010, my friend Selam and I will be hosting a cupcake party in my apartment on campus. I will put up the photos of the excitement in my next post so be on the look out for them. Today I will leave with a little quote from one of my favorite authors:

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." ~ Dr. Seuss
